Update: Capital Project work beginning this spring

A message from Interim Superintendent Karen Geelan about the upcoming capital project work beginning this spring.

The Fort Plain Central School District extends its sincere thanks to our community for supporting the 2024 Capital Project, which will bring important upgrades and safety enhancements to our schools and facilities.

Construction is expected to begin shortly after spring break in April and will take place at both school buildings, the bus garage, and the athletic fields. As work gets underway, we ask everyone to use caution around construction areas and remain mindful of any changes to access points and parking.

All contractors on site will be clearly identified with FPCSD name tags, and enhanced safety protocols will be strictly followed throughout the project. With the exception of some room changes at Harry Hoag Elementary School to accommodate B-wing renovations, we anticipate minimal disruption to our regular programs. Summer programs will proceed as scheduled.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this construction season and look forward to the successful completion of this project in Fall 2026.
