Help our Student Council stock the Senior Center shelves

Two elementary-age students who are wearing dark red sweatshirts with the words "student council" on the front, sit around a round table with two older women. They are all playing a game of bingo. The women look at their bingo cards and two students look at and are smiling for the camera.
From bingo to baking, members of our Student Council at Harry Hoag Elementary enjoy their time together with our community members at the Fort Plain Senior Center. Please consider donating to the Student Council food drive, now underway, in support of the center.

From Tuesday, Jan. 16 through Wednesday, Feb. 14, the Student Council at Harry Hoag Elementary School will be collecting items to restock the shelves of the Fort Plain Senior Center.

Items donated will be used for meals and activities at the center.

Items on the Senior Center “wish list” include the following:

  • baking supplies (flour, sugar, spices)
  • canned vegetables and fruits
  • condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise)
  • pasta
  • coffee, tea
  • food storage and items for wrapping (food storage bags, trash bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, freezer bags)
  • paper items (paper towels, napkins, drinking cups)
  • dish soap

Donations can be sent to school with students or dropped off in the designated area inside Harry Hoag Elementary School.

Thank you for your generous support of our community!
