Nutrition/Food Services

School meals will continue to be available to all students, including those attending school in-person and those learning remotely. If school reopens on a hybrid learning model, meals will be provided while students are in session and meals for the remote learning day will be sent home with students at the end of the school day.

If we return to a remote learning model, the district will reinstate the meal service model used at the end of the 2019-20 school year during the extended school closure.  Meals will be prepared at school, loaded onto buses and delivered by transportation.

In-person meals at Harry Hoag

All meals will be pre-packaged by kitchen workers.  A classroom aide will deliver the meals to the classrooms when students are scheduled to eat.

Breakfast will be provided “grab and go” served in the lobby when students arrive.  This will include an entree item, fruit and milk.

Lunch will be delivered to the classroom. The teacher will coordinate a lunch count with the kitchen staff as a part of the morning routine to begin the school day.  The cafeteria will provide a hot lunch with an option to order a PB & J if desired.  Meals will be served in a disposable container along with individually packaged spork and condiments.

The next day’s meals will be packaged and sent home with students at the end of the school day.

In-person meals at Jr/Sr High School

Students will proceed through the buffet line to receive their meals.  Social distancing space markers will be posted on the floor.  The kitchen staff will place all items on disposable trays for students including condiments and individually wrapped utensils.  Students will take their meals to a seat in the cafeteria that has been appropriately spaced to account for social distancing.

Breakfast will include an entree item, fruit and milk and served as a “grab and go” item upon arrival.

Lunch offerings will be a hot meal with an option to order a PB & J.  Students will enter the service area, receive a tray with food and proceed to the cafeteria seating area without needing to use the pin pad.

Meals for the next day will be packaged and sent home with students at the end of the school day.
