Community partnership mass food distribution

Community partners will distribute food on May 19 at 9:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Reid Street. This is open to anyone. Organizers ask that you do not arrive early. If driving, people are asked not to get out of their vehicles. If walking, please respect social distancing guidelines.

Cell phone support services

Geel Community Services is providing free talk and text services to consumers. Assurance Wire cellular service that is available for people receiving SSI, SSDI, SSA, Medicaid, and/or SNAP benefits.

They are offering the following to all existing or new Assurance Wireless Lifeline customers, through May 20:

• Free Unlimited Calls
• Free Unlimited Texts
• Plus an additional 6GB Data FREE
