Library Club Hosts March Madness Reading Challenge

The Jr/Sr High School Library Club recently held a reading contest. Students were encouraged to read books from a pre-selected list. Different teachers spoke about the book titles in their classes, each one supporting the students to read whichever book the teacher had chosen to sponsor as their favorite. ELA teacher Mrs. Louise Clute’s book choice, “Ghost Boys,” was the winning title, with more students electing to read that book than any of the others on the list. Every student who participated in March Madness received a Make-Your-Own-Sundae card, donated by Stewarts. Also, the Library Club put together several gift baskets. The more books on the list that the students in the competition read, the higher their chances of winning one of the gift baskets. Many students took advantage of the dreary March weather to read several books on the list and enjoy the competitive spirit of their version of March Madness!
