7th Grade trip to Bassett Hospital

On Friday, May 10th, students in Mr. Smith’s 7th Grade Life Science class took part in Bassett Hospital’s “Up Close Cardiac Surgery Program.”  The Interactive session helped students understand how their choices impact the development of heart disease.  Students were taught cardiovascular concepts by other students from the New Visions program and watched a recording of a heart surgery narrated by a cardiac surgeon.
