6/12 UPDATE on graduation plans

The Fort Plain Central School District is pleased to announce its finalized plans for the Class of 2020 graduation ceremony. These plans were made based on the overwhelming feedback of our graduates, and we are honored to uphold their wishes.

We are thrilled about these plans and eagerly await the opportunity to recognize our graduates and all that they have achieved in the past 13 years.

If you have any questions, please contact advisors Linda Cole linda.cole@fortplain.org or Will Ryan william.ryan@fortplain.org

Personal graduation ceremonies for each graduate

The district will hold a personal graduation ceremony for each graduate on Saturday, June 20 at the Jr./Sr. High School. Each family has been mailed information about their date and time. Graduates will wear their caps and gowns and will be presented with their diplomas and any awards. Each graduate can bring up to six family members with them.

Yearbooks will be distributed at this time. Yearbooks are $33. Please make checks made payable to Fort Plain Yearbook.

Video Celebration at the El Rancho Drive-In

We are excited to premiere a video tribute on Sunday, June 21 at El-Rancho Drive In. Gates will open at 8:15 pm. The show will begin at sunset at approximately 9:10 p.m., and will last about 1 hour.

Two vehicles will be allowed entry per graduate. Students will receive tickets; vehicles without tickets will not be allowed to enter. Families that wish to park together must arrive together, and parking will be assigned upon entry.

Because this is a school event, state and local mandates must be followed as they relate to social distancing and assembling of large groups. Everyone must stay in their vehicles for the entirety of the event.
