Upcoming basketball games to benefit those with
cancer
The Fort Plain girls and boys basketball
teams will join other Section II teams for two benefit events aimed
at raising money to fight cancer.
At 6 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, the girls junior
varsity team will play Saratoga, followed by the the varsity teams
during "Play 4Kay" games. The games are part of the Play 4Kay Yow
Cancer Fund Initiative, which aims to raise awareness for breast
cancer.
In a Coaches vs Cancer game night, the boys
junior varsity team plays St. Johnsville at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.
The varsity game will follow.
There will be no admission fees for the games,
but donations to The Kay Yow Cancer Research Fund and The American
Cancer Society will be accepted. The games are played in honor of
those battling cancer or the memory of those who have battled it.
